I had a shoot with Laura and her housemates (all six of them!) last week. We went to a somewhat secluded little park in North Davis where there is this really cool set of domino statues. It was my first time shooting this many people by myself so posing them was a bit challenging at first.

Laura suggested a plain old picture of everyone in a line despite my insistence that it would look boring. Much to my pleasure, the picture turned out great! I should know by now to never doubt Laura, haha.

This was the shot that we came here to get. Everything else was improvised. It’s a shame the highlights in the background were overexposed though. Regardless, this would look great in print! (I have a thing for panoramic prints. Those who’ve seen my room would know.)

A fun version.

The lighting in this photo is MUCH better than the previous two. I also like how everyone is closer together too.

I like Laura’s eyes in this shot!

This is probably one of my favorites from that day. Michelle didn’t seem too cheerful before the shoot because she recently got fifty-two bug bites on her legs (thank goodness for Photoshop). So I’m glad this picture of her turned out so well, even though you can’t see her legs.

Emily’s black dress was perfect for this.

Michelle took this photo!

But not this one, obviously.

More black-and-white goodness.

A passerby stopped by to help with a pose.

I had brought a picture frame, hoping to experiment around with a few ideas, but never got the chance. Here’s a little taste of what I had in mind though.

Another one of my favorites from that day. I love candid shots.

Those definitely look better on Erica. Photo taken by Heather!
